Matches the Terri
Lee offered in the JR MAGAZINE AD, June 1948.
Comes all original with Loopy Tag. Notice how short this dress
is,
comes with matching panties.
Jet black haired Terri Lee with a Longaberger
Daisy Basket. This painted plastic Terri Lee wears the first Heart
Fund outfit. She has the blonde mannequin wig. Jerri Lee is
from 1947, made of ethyl cellulose and wears a cute tagged outfit put together
to go with Terris. Jerri Lee never had an official Heart Fund outfit.
Longaberger issued the Heart Little Love Basket.

This fabulous doll came from an original buyer, a mother who purchased
her
for one of her daughters. Mom loved Terri Lee more than the daughters
and the
doll was never played with. She came in her original box. Beautiful
blonde and pink hair, yes pink!
What a doll! That's our Terri!
BROWNIE AND GIRL SCOUT TERRI LEES
Many of us were associated with the Girl Scout Organization as
children, starting out in Brownies and working our way up to Girl Scouts!
Terri Lees wore official authorized Brownie and Girl Scout uniforms.
The Scouting Organization received a percentage of the sales of these outfits
and dolls wearing these outfits over the years. The material is
the actually scouting material and the outfits are exact copies of the
uniforms worn by children. These are the the early BUTTON uniforms
and both come with the LOOPY tag. Lots of Brownie and Girl Scout
costumes were sold over the years, but these early costumes are really
hard to locate. There are some variations on the buttons, caps, and belts.
It seems like we weren't Brownies very long but I remember being a Girl Scout
into my high school years. Terri Lee wearing these uniforms really takes
me back to my childhood! I never had a Terri Lee as a child but am
sure I would have wanted these costumes if I would have known about Terri
Lee.
RARE TERRI LEE NUN
FRANCISCAN ORDER
Sometimes you just get lucky. Have wanted a Terri Lee Nun for almost
as long as I have had a Terri Lee collection. Actually I got lucky one
day on the eBay Auction. Apparently no one was willing to take a
chance on a one line description. The photo on the internet wasn't very
good and the outfit wasn't on her exactly right and the lady had put a
question mark if it was a Terri Lee Nun because it was untagged!
Actually I had a couple of pieces to the outfit for years but never thought
I would ever get one since the prices have just gone through the roof on
this outfit whenever it has appeared. I think the last one I bid on
was over $1200 for just the outfit. Of interest is that the hair was
cut in a page boy style so the head piece would fit on the doll correctly.
I wondered if they used bald headed Terri Lees or if they cut the hair.
Did you know the costumes are authentic, authorizations, even to the correct
Rosary? And part of the sales went to charity!
HARD TO FIND OUTFITS
JERRI LEE is wearing his hard to find blue and white houndstooth coat
and beret. Jerri Lee's coat is untagged, as most of these were untagged
so it makes it especially hard for beginning collectors to know if they
are original or not. I have had the sets in the original boxes and
they have not been tagged. They were made late in the production and not
show in publications.
TERRI LEE is an early painted plastic with a blonde mannequin
wig and she is wearing
an early loopy tagged blue and white tiny checked dress. Loopy tagged
clothing is really hard to locate.
PATTI JO is escorted by JERRI LEE wearing his brown wool coat and beret
set. A JERRI LEE
wearing his gray coat and beret set stands beside a VINYL TERRI LEE
doll. VINYL TERRI LEES
are almost impossible to locate today due to their unstable condition.
VINYL TERRI LEES with brunette wigs are far less common than blondes.
EARLY SOLID GARDEN PARTY COSTUME
Here is a wonderful painted plastic Terri Lee with a yellow blonde mannequin
wig.
She is wearing a solid colored aqua organdy Garden Party dress with
matching hat!
The ribbons on the outfit are the blue and pink reversible early ribbon.
She has the early hand sewn round snaps but does have the printed tag, not
the loopy tag. She is wonderful!
