COWBOYS
AND COWGIRLS
Painted Plastic Jerri Lee and
Painted Terri Lee from 1949
All original painted plastic dolls, Jerri Lee Cowboy
and Terri Lee Cowgirl with Loopy Tags in outfits. These are the early
outfits made for Jerri Lee and Terri Lee. Jerri Lee wears the brown
leather chaps with white fringe, matching gauntlets, brown vest with gold
studs, while Terri Lee wears her white leather fringed vest, skirt and matching
gauntlets with colored studs. Jerri has a button down shirt while Terri
has the early round snaps under her blouse. Jerri Lee has a blonde caracul
wig and Terri Lee has the earliest mannequin wig. These dolls came from an
original owner.
Jerri Lee's Leather Chaps
This early Jerri Lee Leather Chap Set comes with brown
chaps with white fringe, matching gauntlets, and a brown vest with gold
studs. The vest has the early LOOPY tag.
Jerri Lee and Terri Lee's Early
Western Hats
Jerri Lee is wearing the earliest Cowboy hat, large 10 gallon type felt
hat with leather band held in place with a colored stud. This is the
Sombrero hat on Jerri Lee. Terri Lee is wearing a red felt cowgirl
hat with the white plastic lacing. Both of these hats are pictured
on page 66 in the Fashionable Terri Lee Dolls book. These dolls are
most likely the styles offered in 1949.
Western Boots
Jerri and Terri both wore white cowboy boots in the beginning and these
all came with the heels.
There are actually two pieces of cardboard used to make the heels, later
boots do not have the heels.
Check back for the childhood story of this wonderful pair a little later.

WESTERN COWGIRLS
EARLY JODHPURS AND COWGIRL
COSTUMES
These costumes were both made during the early years from the Lincoln,
NE location.
The dolls are both the painted plastic dolls, shirts are the same in
each costume but there are different colored studs and the placement is
a little different. The shirts have a contrasting material at the wrists,
the gauntlets over it on the Cowgirl. Both are wearing later hats,
both have early LOOPY tags in the shirts and the skirt even has an early
LOOPY tag at the waist. Two of my favorite western outfits!
