Here is one of the wonderful large 13" size Ruth Gibbs Godey Lady dolls still in her original box. She is Mrs.Fields in Luncheon Party Dress. The box is worn and taped. The sides of the lid are torn and the top is sunk in.She is a white china doll with the red painted hair and matching shoes. She has the gold painted on necklace and bracelet. The dress is a red burgundy plaid taffeta trimmed with blue. She has the white body and white pantaloons with blue ties. The doll is mint perfect and her outfit is too. It is really hard to locate these large Ruth Gibbs Dolls. This one is probably from around 1948. | $375 |

Here is one of the large Ruth Gibbs dolls, she
has the harder to find BLACK painted hair, she is the pink china,
with gold necklace painted on. She has a pink cloth body. Gold
painted slippers. She comes only in a yellow net pantaloons tied
with yellow ribbons, and a gathered yellow net ruffle around the chest.
She has never been played with and comes in her original box that
has the label, Godey Lady, 12" Undressed No. 205 BLACK |

Here is an early large 12" white china
Ruth Gibbs lady doll, she is Mrs. Mary Ruth in Casmisole and Long Panties
with brown painted hair and brown slippers. She has the
gold necklace and gold bracelet painted on. The casmisole and long
panties are white. And her body is white. The doll is mint
and comes in her original box, the lid on the box is torn on the edges
and the end of the box has a tear also. The label is still on the
box and the store price sticker. |

Here is an early large 12" white china Ruth Gibbs
lady doll, she is Mrs. Mary Ruth in Casmisole and Long Panties with
red painted hair and red slippers. She has the gold necklace
and gold bracelet painted on. The casmisolde and long paintes are
white. And her body is white. The doll has a homemade wardrobe of
clothing. The are a couple of dresses, a coat that is not finished,
and a hat. She comes in her original box with label on it, but the box is rough. The lide is missing the eges and the paper is tearing off the edges. The Ruth Gibbs Godey's Lady Book Dolls label is still intact. |

Here is a hard to find 7" Name Doll Ruth Gibbs- Lilly Lu.
You could actually request a name to be put on the skirt of a doll.
She is a pink china doll with brown painted hair, gold slippers.
Her dress is white satin and the name is written in gold. White
net trim ruffle on the skirt, white felt bonnet with same net inside bonnet.
Comes in original box with store price tag. Doll is mint except for
a pink stain on back of one side of skirt. Doll was never played
with, just probably laid down next to something. |

hair and matching blonde (yellow) slippers. This is an earlier doll.
She identified by her name sticker on back of skirt on inside, P-111
Shirley . She comes in her original box, and has her original store price
sticker on the skirt. Box has some age spots on the inside. The
doll is mint wearing a plaid taffeta dress with white, blue and green, white
felt hat, ties with blue ribbon. Outfit is crispy, there is a little
age spotting on the ruffle around the neck. |

7" Ruth Gibbs with pink china, pink body, gold
slippers. She has black painted hair. She comes with original
white net panties. She probably was sold as a set with clothing originally.
She is wearing a white satin dress with white net and then white with gold
trim, she has wings on the back of the dress. Extra outfits include
a blue satin dress, panties, and a blue net half slip, pink cotton print
dress with eyelet on sleeves, white net half slip with white eyelet trim,
long pink taffeta slip which goes with a shorter floral print dress I think,
plaid dress with red rick rack trim, red felt cap, matching hat and a little
basket. One yellow-gold felt hat. |
